Summer at Helios: The pool is open; day visitors are welcome
Summer has finally begun at Athena Helios, and we have some great news to share:the pool is open!
After months of preparations, repairs, and a lot of volunteer work, we achieved our goal. On June 20, the pool officially opened for a summer full of relaxation, fun, and a chance to cool off.
The pool is open
It was quite a challenge. The winter had taken its toll, heavy rain created extra work, and technical issues had to be resolved. Thanks to the efforts of many volunteers and professionals, both the main pool and the children’s pool were thoroughly refurbished.
Starting now, people of all ages can once again enjoy wonderful afternoons of swimming at Helios.
The current hours of operation are daily from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
These hours are still somewhat dependent on the availability of enough volunteers trained in first aid. If we can count on some extra helping hands, we may be able to extend our hours of operation.
Will you help out? First aid volunteers wanted
For safety reasons, the pool may only be open when there are enough people on site who are trained in first aid.
Do you have a valid first aid certificate or have you completed a first aid course? If so, we’d love to hear from you. With just a little effort, you can help make the pool accessible to everyone more often and for longer periods of time.

That's summer at Athena Helios.
Summer here feels familiar, yet different every time. Old friends reunite, and new friendships form naturally. There are planned activities, but just as often, spontaneous moments over drinks create the fondest memories.
Whether you want to relax for a few hours or enjoy a full day here, you're more than welcome.
Practical Information
- Athena members: free admission
Non-members: only €10 per person per day
You can become a member right there on the spot
Annual membership: €60 per family
Membership fee: 60 €, free daily admission for the whole family all year round
Members can also participate, at no additional cost, in performances, group dinners, petanque activities, and numerous other events organized throughout the season.
