Opening of renovated canteen on 1 April

On 1 April, we opened the renovated clubhouse at Athena in Ossendrecht.

The canteen from the 1980s, innovative and fresh at the time, was in dire need of an update.

The result exceeds our expectations. Thanks to Daniël (interior designer), Cools (joinery), the contractors and especially the many volunteers.
The canteen has become more homely, warm and cosy, without compromising on functionality.
It was a sustainable restyling, with limited means and the greatest possible result with the least possible amount of real reconstruction work.

By using natural materials such as native kalei and wood, we create a warm atmosphere that fits in perfectly with the natural surroundings.
What to expect.

Our canteen has become a multifunctional and convivial meeting place.
Where it is pleasant to have a meal for two, a drink with friends, read your newspaper alone or play board games in a group and ... to have a good party now and then.
