For a new program on VTM, they would like to come and film a few days at our holiday park, naturist camping Athena, in Ossendrecht. They would like to visualize how things are going at our place, get naturism out of hiding and, most of all, bring you stories.
After some nice conversations we are convinced that VTM will make a great program in which naturism is portrayed in a beautiful and honest way. The filming will of course be discreet and those who do not want to be in the picture will not be shown.
So for this we are looking for you.

The goal is to have everything run as much as possible as it runs every day. The host will stay for a few days, participate in the activities and come and have a chat with you.
Filming will take place in the spring or early summer. As soon as the dates are finalized, we will notify you.

Weekend at ATHENA Ossendrecht (Friday to Monday) in our new FRAMILY accommodation. This way you can immediately introduce your friends or family to Athena 😉 . Dates to be determined in consultation, depending on availability and after September 7.
We are going to thoroughly renovate the 30-year-old sauna environment in Ossendrecht.
The spacious sauna room still looks picobello.
The shower, changing room and relaxation area will be thoroughly renovated.
Of course, we will also immediately start insulating better and heating smarter.
And who knows, maybe there will be a bonus, but that remains a surprise for now.
To realize this project, we have to close the sauna for a while for renovation work.
Closed sauna from Dec. 22 to April 1, 2023
On Wednesday, Dec. 21 (from 6:30 to 9 p.m.), the sauna will open as it is now for one last time to reopen, if all goes well, on April 1, fully renovated.
See you Wednesday or make a note in your calendar that you can come and test out the renovated sauna in April.
Every winter during work weekends at Athena, enthusiastic groups of members tinker, prune, clear leaves and "vandalize.
With no strings attached, they make sure that everything looks tiptop in their park.
Such a day or weekend working together outside and ending with a delicious meal often results in new friendships in addition to satisfaction.
And our great gratitude. Toppers!

A stone's throw from our park Le Perron are Les Hautes Fagnes. One of the most pristine areas of nature in the Ardennes and one of the last raised bogs in Europe.
If you pick a quiet time - at the crack of dawn or near dusk - you might encounterred deer, roe deer, wild boar, lynx or grouse.
Your backpack packed and ready for adventure?
The High Fens is a protected nature preserve that you can't just cross. There is, however, a large network of hiking trails. These run partly on asphalted roads and partly on wooden boardwalks that protect the peat.
These mapped walks vary in length and difficulty. So you can choose from short, easy, long and spicy. Something for everyone. Both experienced hikers who enjoy a challenge and families with small children will find their thing here. Do you like to make it a more educational hike? Then take one of the special learning trails.
Les Hautes Fagnes are divided into four zones
Zone A is free for hikers. In Zone B, you may only step on marked trails. For a trip through zone C, a guide must accompany you. Zone D is off limits. Do you encounter a red flag along the way? Then continuing along another path is the order of the day.

Brothers Stefan and Thomas grew up in the beautiful nature of camping Athena, including many camping guests around them.
