Smoking your own caught trout

This summer you can learn to smoke trout at Le Perron. Of course, you need trout to prepare this delicacy. You can get it at the fishmonger's, but 'hunting' it yourself in this beautiful area is much more fun.

This season, you can go trout fishing in Val du Roba together with other campsite guests and under Twan's guidance. This area with five fishing ponds is located in Ligneuville, a small village near Malmedy. Peace and quiet and fun are the key words here.

Working together on culinary matters

After fishing, tips and tricks for preparation follow step by step. First, the trout are cleaned. Then you discover how to brine them. Then it is the turn of the smoker. It is brought to the right temperature. You learn how best to hang the fish in it to dry. Then the real smoking starts. A true art that guarantees maximum taste experience.
