Summer mode on!
She was a long time coming, but finally the sun is basking our naked bodies. Ascension weekend and Pentecost were great in terms of weather and atmosphere. For the rest rain, rain and more rain this past spring ... Fortunately, our guests could go to our nice and warm wellness.
Now we just hope the summer is unstoppable. Our team is ready to make it a great time. Our parks are in great shape and there is always something new to experience. A lot of great things happened since the last edition of the Athena magazine. The adventure playground at Ossendrecht and the handsome sauna at Helios are a reality. You can read more about them in this issue, but for the real experience you have to go there.
If you head toward Meerbeek, be sure to bring your hiking boots. The path from the campsite to the bat bunker, the radar station and the Vossenhol play forestis definitely worthwhile. Get the tzatziki and retsina ready and flip to page 15, where you'll end up in Crete, at the handsome naturist resort Vritomartis. Add a baguette and on to charming Le Couderc in the verdant Dordogne. The third-generation owners welcome you with open arms.
Or in July and August, just stay cozy by the pool with us. Enjoy the sun on your bare skin. But do so wisely, protect her in a skin-friendly and ecological way. Browse quickly for our tips. Along the way, you'll also come across Zoppa's harmless yet effective homemade soaps, shampoo bars and dishwashing products. A clean local story. Finally, we think critically about piercings and tattoos within a family naturist context.

Last year we started a plan to address the signage at our parks. It needed to be brighter, more inviting and more contemporary. Determining the right content, the best design, the most suitable materials and the ideal supplier was ... quite a journey.
Meanwhile, the first clear, playful and durable signs at Ossendrecht are ready. Now we can fine-tune where necessary from practice. To then continue working on our three parks later this year and in 2025.
More of that to come. We are already proud.
The original sauna arrived at Athena in early April: organic shape, cozy interior and fun "scaly" exterior. Fits perfectly into the wooded surroundings. After installation, the electrical connection was put in place and the area around the sauna was beautifully landscaped. Includes outdoor shower and a fire pit with a couple of ergonomic lounge chairs. Beautiful!
This will be the hot spot at Helios to recharge and unwind. The sauna is free to all campers, renters, premium members, regular guests and day visitors. This during opening hours. In July and August, this is anyway on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Additional times will be announced via the activity board.

playground Ossendrecht
This spring the adventure playground at Athena Ossendrecht was installed in just two days. That same Tuesday afternoon, April 23, the inspection already took place. This allowed us to open our brand new playground on May 1 as planned.
We get super positive reactions. It's great to see how children first walk carefully and a little scared over the balance beams, only to find their way around this course more and more smoothly and happily.

For the next twenty years, small and somewhat larger can have plenty of fun in this inviting place. In fact, the playground turns out to be so attractive that many adults have already tried it out. On the family swing, moms, dads, grandmas and grandpas have fun with their children and grandchildren.
For the little ones, there is the existing playhouse with swing and sandbox.
In short: everyone happy!
Come to the opening on May 31 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Athena Helios was already a heartwarming place. From now on, virtuous wellness heat will be added.
In Meerbeek, we are constructing a relaxation zone with a handmade, beautifully designed sauna for six people and a relaxation room. In harmony with the surrounding greenery, the round Iglucraft invites you to take valuable time for yourself, and to reconnect with the natural order of things. Outside, we provide a cooling shower, some comfortable loungers and a fire pit for socializing.
The new sauna area will be one big invitation to unwind with yourself and connect with others in softness. Delightful!
Throughout the summer season, this area will already be open regularly and freely accessible to regular guests, campers and day visitors alike. We will communicate the exact hours in our next newsletter. We are looking forward to the opening of this beautiful addition on May 31.

Yes, finally spring again!
The camping fun at our three parks starts again. We are ready with our whole team to give you a warm welcome and to make your stay carefree. So you can enjoy the peace and quiet. Of course there are also fun group activities on the program again.
The beautiful investments for this season are being completed. At the time you are reading this, the access road to Athena Le Perron has been paved. Within this and two weeks you can come sweat and relax in the brand new sauna at Athena Helios. On May 1, children will festively open the adventure playground at Athena Ossendrecht.
Our tinyhouse project is also really taking shape now. Do you dream of a handsome and comfortable mini house of your own at one of our parks? Soon it will be possible. You can read more about it in this magazine. And you are cordially invited to the viewing and demo days to see, feel and experience ... and to ask your questions.
But first we are going on a trip - already on paper - to the South of France. We take you to the top naturist village of Le Sérignan Plage Nature on the Mediterranean and to the family campsite La Clapère near Spain, at the foot of the Pyrenees. You'll learn about the last anchovy fishermen in Bergen op Zoom and about Filip Naudts, photographer with a mission. You will discover cheerful outdoor gadgets and help determine the winners of our photo contest.

Tiny houses are compact and cozy and invite close contact with nature. They are gaining popularity, but you can't just put them anywhere. We kindly ask that you respect the core values of naturism at all times. In case of non-compliance, we reserve the right to exclude persons from the event, without refund. This decision will be made by the event manager (or campsite manager).
Don't worry about accommodation because it's all taken care of! And to top it off, all main meals (from lunch on the 9th to breakfast on the 12th) are included in the package. Get ready for a weekend full of fun, friendship and natural freedom!

There is a pick-up point near the train station and the airport. Please arrive between 12:00 - 17:00 Central European Time (CET) at the campsite or at the pick-up point.
Please note that the event is for affiliated members. Not yet a member and you are a young person (between 18 and 27 years old), please make yourself a member especially for this event for only 12 € pp (link: apply for membership). Please mention your name, date of birth and place of residence. Upon arrival at Athena, your membership card with INF seal will be waiting for you.

Let us embrace winter and each other
In this season of silence and stark beauty, we seek connection. Across the country there are initiatives to pause and share with those less fortunate. Around the Christmas tree, families gather. We surprise each other with gifts. Nature takes a rest at this time, turns inward in anticipation of spring. Defy the cold yourself and fully enjoy the breathing space and virtuous emptiness outside.
At Athena, we are closing out 2023 and making plenty of preparations for the 2024 season. What we can already reveal and what we have in store especially for the children can be read in this magazine. We take you to a little-known region in the center of France, dream of a new naturist campsite in Tuscany and sprinkle with winter inspiration.
